THE ACCIDENT WILL was formed in July 2010, a furious storm of aggressive riffs propelled by passion & energy. The band shortly recorded a demo 5-song EP and took their electric live show to the Edmonton scene.

Now, TAW is regrouping and needs YOU. Looking for a bass player and a drummer, people who will rehearse 2x a week and be willing to hit the road. A keyboard/synth player or 2nd guitar would be considered. People who want to do more than play in a ‘local band.’ People who believe in music while still having fun playing & performing.

The foundation for a stellar rock band is in place – songs, merch, web, all that stuff. What exists is the first step in the evolution of a band; the next mutation is still to come. What is needed is the right musicians. Experience is an asset but not strictly required, if you are willing to work hard!

SincSound remixes TAW

Our good friend SincSound is doing a few remixes for us. First up is a straight remix & remaster of “It’s a Trap!” Dan did a great job of making the track sound cleaner. It just ‘pops’ more especially the guitar tone.

Oh man, Pom-Pom. The “World Leader” mix of “In Blackest Night” is absolutely amazing. In the vein of NIN, Argyle Park, Circle of Dust style de/reconstructions, it stays true to the song while showing it off in a completely new sonic ‘light.’ This is a direction we want to move TAW in as a whole, over time. Haunting & compelling!

New bass player & July gigs

Our new bass player is an awesome dude named Mike Bell and he will be laying down the rhythm for us July 10th at New City opening for Shreddin’ Onions.

We’re also playing New City July 1st. It’s a Canada Day Bash, opening for Blunt Force Charm and Fire For Effect! Jenn’s friend Darren will be filling in on bass (or we’ll be trying backing tracks… OH NOES).

TAW is going to be at Rock the Rigs 2011 in Drayton Valley. RtR runs July 21-24 and features Alberta’s best indie bands, rappers, DJs and more. There’s camping and good times. We’ll post our exact schedule there shortly.

Departures & Arrivals – TAW seeks guitar or bass

It is with some sadness that I report our bass player Brian has decided to move on from TAW. For the past year Brian has been the energy in our trio, creative and rocking on the bass and a ton of fun to watch live. Jenn and I will miss him, he was a big part of the first era of THE ACCIDENT WILL.

But as band members come and go, so goes life. And that means that TAW is looking for a new guitar or bass player (I can play both). The solid foundation for our future has been laid but it’s time to knock down the doors and grab Edmonton’s music scene by the throat!
